Our Programs

We provide comprehensive youth development programs that equip underprivileged children and youth with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to succeed in life. CELDI has six major programs that serve the needs of our beneficiaries. These programs are as follows:

Summer Camp

Our summer camps are wonderful places where children and youth can explore their interests, gain confidence, understand servant leadership principles, and create lasting memories in a warm, supportive environment that feels just like a second home.

After-school

Our after-school program provides a safe, inviting space for underprivileged children and youth to learn, grow, and develop life skills. It supports education, leadership, spiritual growth, and social development for 10 months. The program offers homework help, nutritious lunch, and classes in reading, math, Bible, and arts & crafts. Unique in Liberia, it aims to nurture Christian scholars and compassionate servant-leaders.

Child Sponsorship

By sponsoring a child with us, you’re making a meaningful difference—helping provide education, healthy meals, and brighter opportunities for a child in need. Your support brings hope and a brighter future. CELDI-Liberia warmly supports children from slums by helping them move into better schools and ensuring they have essentials like tuition, supplies, and tasty after-school meals. You can make a difference with a sponsorship of just $36 a month or $432 a year.

Girls Empowerment

CELDI-Liberia's girls empowerment program focuses on holistic development for underprivileged girls, utilizing safe spaces to provide education and awareness on sexual and reproductive health, decision-making, and gender rights. The program also equips participants with life skills, including entrepreneurship and vocational training in areas such as sewing, soap-making, pastry, and Tie & Dye, alongside offering financial literacy training and microloans to support their startups. This approach aims to break the cycle of poverty and raise a generation of skilled, informed, and confident young women.

Feeding

CELDI-Liberia's Feeding Program is a compassionate 10-month initiative for underprivileged children and youth, providing nourishing meals on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Its goal is to fight hunger and improve the well-being of underprivileged children and youth in Monrovia’s slum communities. This effort is part of a larger, comprehensive program aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty through this kind of educational support, making a meaningful difference in many young lives.

Mentorship

CELDI-Liberia's mentorship program is an integral part of its holistic approach to developing underprivileged children and youth from slum communities, focusing on educational, servant-leadership, spiritual, and social growth. The program operates within the After-school and Summer Camp activities, utilizing Student Mentors (smart high school students/graduates) to guide younger campers in areas like academic skills, character development, and servant-leadership, with the ultimate goal of breaking the cycle of poverty and raising a new generation of capable, disciplined servant leaders.
