About Us

CELDI-Liberia is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to empowering underprivileged children and youth from slum communities in Liberia through leadership, education, mentorship, and social development. It seeks to transform the landscape of leadership, education, and mentorship in Liberia by investing in its most valuable resources: the children and youth. Operating in the heart of vulnerable communities, we bridge the gap between systemic poverty and academic success through a holistic servant-leadership and educational model. Our aim is to develop leaders of integrity, providing them with spiritual grounding, professional expertise, and the moral fortitude to revitalize their communities and nation.

By integrating rigorous academic excellence with practical life skills and Christ-centered mentorship, CELDI moves children and youths from a state of survival to one of visionary purpose. Through specialized children and youth mentorship and CELDI Academy, a Christian school, our initiatives create a positive ripple effect from the community to the classroom. We are empowering what we call the "Nehemiah Generation" to arise and build a more fair and prosperous Liberia. Yes, today’s vulnerable children and youth can become tomorrow’s transformational leaders.

From 2016 to today, over 1,600 children/students have been reached—and their stories of confidence, courage, and change are multiplying across Liberia. A few who have grown out are currently part of the workforce at CELDI, while many who started as elementary students are now high school graduates. With every partner and donor who joins us, that impact grows deeper and wider—turning hope into reality for lasting transformation.
