About Us

The Center for Education and Leadership Development Initiative, Liberia (CELDI-Liberia) is a Christian nonprofit committed to empowering underprivileged children and youth from slum communities in Liberia, through education, leadership, mentorship, and social development. 

 In the heart of Liberia, West Africa, countless underprivileged children dream of a brighter future—but for many, those dreams fade beneath the weight of poverty and limited opportunity. 

 The truth is every child deserves more than survival—they deserve the chance to learn, lead, and live out their God-given purpose. Yet, thousands still lack access to quality education, mentorship, and the tools for transformation. 

 CELDI-Liberia steps into that gap—empowering students through holistic after-school programs, leadership training, character development, and spiritual growth. We are not just educating minds; we are shaping hearts and building leaders who will rebuild their nation. 

 From 2017 to today, more than 1,500 students have been reached—and their stories of confidence, courage, and change are multiplying across Liberia. Few are currently part of the workforce here at CELDI, while many who started as elementary students are now High School graduates. With every partner and donor who joins us, that impact grows deeper and wider—turning hope into lasting transformation.
