Rev. Marshal L. Harris

Chairperson

Reverend Marsha L. Harris is a minister of the Gospel. She loves the Lord, and her ministry focuses on advancing the Kingdom of God by spreading the Gospel around the world. She is a preacher, teacher, missionary, counselor, conference presenter, and willing servant wherever God uses her. Rev. Harris is also passionate about transformational discipleship, with a focus on being used by God in transforming the lives of victims of world circumstances into victors in Christ Jesus our Lord. She serves as the Director of Outreach, Missions, and Evangelism and the Director of Christian Education at her local church (Second Baptist Church, Moorestown, NJ), and has ministry relationships in India, Africa, and South America. 

Reverend Harris is also the Chairperson of the CELDI-USA Board of Directors. The first section of CELDI Academy that was opened in 2022 is named “The Reverend Marsha Lee Harris Early Learning Center” in her honor. Reverend Harris graduated Summa Cum Laude from the New Brunswick Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. She also holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Ministry in Discipleship and Christian Education at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is retired from the Federal Government with a blended career in Human Resources and Information Technology and is also a nationally certified mental health counselor. 

Her life Scripture is Ephesians 3:21 – “Now unto Him who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or think, according to the power that works within us.” And her favorite Scripture is Jeremiah 32:27 – “Behold, I am the Lord thy God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?” 

Rev. Deborah K. Davis

Co-Chairperson

Deborah Davis received her B.A. from Dickinson College, PA, with majors in English and Philosophy. She received a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in N J, with a concentration in pastoral theology. During this time, she served as a chaplain at Trenton State Prison and completed her Clinical Pastoral Education chaplaincy training. Deborah is an ordained minister in the PCUSA and a certified Spiritual Director accredited by Oasis Ministries, PA. She served as Director of the Religious Ministries Department at The University Medical Center at Princeton for 20 years. Deborah then became Director of Field Education and Administrative Faculty at Princeton Theological Seminary, where she served for 10 years. 

Deborah has been married to Bill Davis for 45 years and has 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. She is active on the Community Church of Durham's immigration core team. Deborah also loves being a member of many book clubs, where she enjoys discussing current and classic novels from theological, ethical, and psychological perspectives. 

Deborah was one of the founding members of CELDI in 2016 and believes serving on its Board has been one of the most important things she has done with her life!

Rev. Dr. Wanda Walker

Dr. Wanda Walker is a Certified Leadership Coach and Consultant, keynote speaker, and workplace culture advocate who helps leaders optimize their teams to build trust and bridge workplace culture and high performance. Her diverse professional background, executive leadership experience, and academic preparation uniquely position her to impact individuals, teams, and leaders across for-profit and nonprofit institutions.

She serves as the CEO of Dr. Wanda Walker, LLC, and Vice President of Flourishing Workplace USA. Before launching her coaching and consulting work, Dr. Walker served at the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner and supervisor, and retired in 2018 as a Senior Executive.

Throughout her career, Dr. Walker has been guided by the principles of human-centered leadership, marked by transparency, authenticity, and trust. These principles have enabled her to build strong teams, develop effective leaders, and create environments where individuals feel seen, heard, valued, understood, and empowered to perform at their highest level.

Dr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Juris Doctor with an emphasis in Intellectual Property, a Master’s degree in Counseling, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership. 

One of Dr. Walker’s favorite life sayings comes from Mahalia Jackson: “If I can help somebody along the way, then my living will not be in vain.” This statement reflects the heart of her life’s work in helping people grow, lead, and thrive with purpose.  

Rev. Dr. Herbert H. Lusk, III

Reverend Dr. Herbert H. Lusk III is a visionary pastor, community leader, and institutional steward who succeeded his late father as leader of the flourishing Greater Exodus Baptist Ministry. A graduate of the Reformed Episcopal Seminary, he spent a decade successfully directing the church’s Youth and Young Adult Ministry and serving as an assistant pastor before stepping into his current leadership role. His international service in Haiti and Korea, along with his humanitarian missions to Liberia with the Center for Education and Leadership Development Initiative to support underprivileged youth, highlights his commitment to global collaboration. 

Beyond his pastoral duties, Reverend Lusk is deeply invested in civic engagement, education, and social equity, serving on the boards of People For People, Inc., Valley Youth House, and G.E. Ministries, where he oversees the Frederick Douglass Christian School and Grace Dental Clinic. Recognized as a National Champion by BMe for his dedication to community well-being, he combines a rich heritage of faithful service with forward-looking leadership to empower vulnerable populations and strengthen communities locally and globally.  

Dr. Michelle Dodd

Dr. Michelle Dodd is an accomplished healthcare executive and nursing leader with extensive experience in hospital operations, clinical excellence, patient care, and organizational leadership. As a Chief Nursing Officer, she has led multidisciplinary teams and initiatives focused on improving quality, strengthening the patient and caregiver experience, and developing high-performing healthcare teams. She currently holds several professional appointments on nursing school boards. 

Michelle brings to the Board a passion for servant leadership and a commitment to using her healthcare and leadership experience to improve the lives of individuals and communities. She is honored to support CELDI’s Christian mission and its work serving the underprivileged children and youth in Liberia, Africa.

Outside of her professional and board service, Michelle is an avid wildlife photographer with a particular appreciation for the people, wildlife, and landscapes of Africa.
